who is Madeline?

Madeline Blondeau has been writing on the internet since 2010. Her work can be found in Paste, Anime News Network, Anime Herald, Anime Feminist, CGM, & Lock-On, among others.

Madeline is the author of an upcoming horror novel set in the Pacific Northwest inspired by New French Extreme cinema and revenge films such as I Spit On Your Grave. It is due out between 2026 and 2027. Her next novel is a work of period religious horror.

A lifelong film enthusiast, Madeline turned her passion into Cinema Cauldron in 2021. This spoken word series combines music and soundscapes with scripted film analysis in the style of programs such as NPR's 'Radiolab' and KMHD's 'Zoot Pursuits.'
